KARACHI: Former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon criticised the National Accountability Bureau for its ‘biasness’.

Speaking at the floor of the house (Sindh Assembly), Sharjeel said that NAB officials could not even enter Islamabad’s Benzair Bhutto Airport to arrest deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar but had come to the runway to arrest him despite possessing bail.

He further questioned why Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s name has not been included in the Exit Control list despite NAB references against him.

“Should we assume PML-N and NAB are friends and law does not apply to the ruling party?” the former provincial minister questioned. He also clarified that he had bail when he was ‘illegally’ arrested from the Sindh High Court.

Sharjeel further said that the deposed premier is about to return today and question if Nawaz would be meted with the same treatment and will be arrested on his non bailable arrest warrants.
