SHC adjourns 54 cases due to SHCBA former President ZK Jato’s demise

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday could not take up 54 custom cases owing to death of a senior lawyer and SHC Bar Association (SHCBA) former President ZK Jato.

The cases filed by Stara Chemicals Limited, M/s Unique Plastic Works, M/s Classic Denim Mills (Private) Limited, M/s Fatah Motors Limited and others were scheduled for the day.

The cases regarding tax and customs were scheduled for hearing before the SHC bench, comprising Justice Munib Akhter and justice Abdul Malik Gaddi, but it could not hear these cases.

When the court proceeding was started, it was informed that senior lawyer Z K Jatoi has passed away. The court was discharged on the request of SHC Bar Association.
