SHC appellate bench grants stay on vehicle auction

KARACHI: Sindh High Court has granted stay on auction of a vehicle confiscated by Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations and adjoined hearing for May 4.

A SHC appellate bench, comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan, was hearing a constitution petition filed by one Manzoor Qadir Laghari against confiscation of Toyota Surf bearing registration number BF 8447. The petitioner maintained that the vehicle, model 1998 was not a smuggled one but was duly imported.
