The respondents including Tiles Association represented by Franklin Law Associates questioned the imposition of Regulatory Duty and sought continuation of concessionary rate of taxes and duty under SRO 497 of 2009.

The lawyer from Franklin Law Associates submitted that whatever the custom duty, taxes, regulatory duty are estimated 50 per cent or  100 per cent, the payable would be at a rate of 37.5 per cent as per SRO cited above.
