SHC directs to release consignments imported by M/s Metallurgy International

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) customs appellate bench comprising Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Adan-ul-Karim Memon directed to release three consignment imported by petitioner Metallurgy International after securing disputed amount of duty and taxes.

The bench earlier heard advocate Muhammad Saaq Shafiq Siddiqui who said that despite setting aside of Valuation Ruling No. 168 of 2022 and Order in Revision No. 95/2022, goods of petitioners are assessed on the basis of said valuation ruling by the department on pretext that some SCRA is pending before the court challenging order of the Appellate tribunal.
