SHC fixes hearing of Shaheen Air case on  Oct 9

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has summoned both the parties i.e. Pakistan Customs (Respondent) and M/s Shaheen Air International Limited (Applicant) on October 9 for further hearing of the case.

Legal advisors of both the parties presented along with their view points before the SHC. After hearing both the parties, the SHC fixed date of October 9 for further proceeding.

It may be mentioned here that the Pakistan Customs has leveled tax evasion charges of Rs4145million on M/s Shaheen Air International Limited against importing 47aircraft without Lease Agreement and dismantling among 12 without prior permission of the Pakistan Customs. However, the legal advisor of M/s Shaheen Air International Limited was of the view that importation of aircraft  needed no lease agreement.
