KARACHI: A Sindh High Court’s division bench has heard a constitution petition filed by Minitex Private Limited and issued notices to the Custom officials for Aug 2.
The petitioner maintained that the consignment was inbonded on arrival. Later 50 per cent was ex-bonded on payment of security. The importer later applied for partial release. Meanwhile a revision was decided by the Director General.
The petitioner filed an appeal before the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal which is pending a decision. Meanwhile the petitioner moved the SHC seeking release of the remaining consignment against security equivalent to duty and other taxes applicable.
