KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed to issue notices for August 11 to the federal and provincial governments over the suspension of NAB laws in Sindh province.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice of SHC Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh heard a petition against the suspension of National Accountability Bureau Laws in Sindh Province filled by the opposition parties in Sindh Assembly.The petitioners in their petition informed the court that in spite of the reservation over the NAB Sindh Repealing Bill, it was passed. They said that Sindh Governor Mohammed Zubair also did not sign the bill into law and rejected the same.
Adding that the new bill, which had become law then, was illegal. Upon that the court issued notices to the respondents in the petition for August 16.
