SHC orders release of buckram, zippers consignment

KARACHI: A Sindh High Court bench has ordered release of a consignment of buckram, zippers as per data available in a petition filed by Taipan International.

During hearing, the counsel for the petitioner company submitted that item was not listed or mentioned in the Valuation Ruling. During hearing of a revision application, the DG Valuation ordered assessment under guide line issued by him at a rate of US$ 4.10 while previously or ordinarily its custom duty comes around US $ 2.10.
