KARACHI: A Sindh High Court’s division bench has ordered release of consignments while hearing three identical petitions filed by importers of soap.

The bench was comprised of Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Omar Sial. The petitioners challenging the enhanced value ordered by the Director Valuation said that it was in violation of section 25-D of the Customs Act 1969. The counsel for petitioner from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioners relied upon an earlier order passed by the bench and prayed for the release of the consignments on same terms and conditions.
