SHC seeks comments from Pakistan Mobile Communication on SRB notice

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought comments from Pakistan Mobile Communications against notice No SRB/ AC-1/ TEL/2015/ issued by the Sindh Revenue Board.

A division bench of the SHC headed by Justice Munib Akhter was hearing an application filed by Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited.

Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel stated that petitioner is engaged in the business of providing cellular telecommunications services. The Assistant Commissioner-I Sindh Revenue Board issued a notice having reference no SRB/AC-1/Com-1/TEL/2015/on 26th March 2015 under section 52 (1) of the Sindh Act to produce documents and provide information.

The counsel stated that respondent threatened the petitioner that in case of non-compliance, necessary penal actions under clauses 2015 of the table in section 43 of the Sindh Act shall be initiated without any further notice. The petitioner (Pakistan Mobile Communication) pleaded the SHC to set aside impugned notice.
