KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has ordered issuance of notices to respondent IGI Finance Securities Limited for an unspecified date.
An SHC appellate bench, comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Nazar Akbar, was hearing a Sindh Sales Tax Reference Application (SSTRA) filed by Sindh Revenue Board.
The petitioner impugned an order passed by Income Tax Appellate Tribunal which restrained the appellant from collecting Services tax. The appellant maintained in the SSTRA that the respondent company provides investment advisory service and thus is liable to pay services tax.
The bench after hearing Ghulam Hyder Shaikh advocate, counsel for the appellant department ordered issuance of notices to the respondent company.
