KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) set aside an impugned notification of Director General of Valuation over enhancement of the valuation of baby diapers, toilet soaps, etc on Monday. A two-member bench headed by Justice Munib Akhtar announced the judgment which was earlier reserved.
Earlier, more than 200 importers including M/s. Al-Amin Cera, M/s FAMS Enterprises, M/s United World Corp, M/s Global Trade Link, M/s H.N Brother (Private) Limited, M/s M. Farooq & Brothers, M/s Imperial Trading Corporation, M/s AR Associates, M/s Queen World Trading Company, M/s Business Centre, M/s Berger Paints Pakistan (Private) Limited, M/s HN Brothers, M/s Independent Newspaper, M/s Global Trade Link and others had challenged the impugned notification over enhancement of valuations of baby diapers, toilet soaps, etc.
