SHC summons Assistant Collector in vehicle case

KARACHI: A division bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain ordered an Assistant Collector, Pakistan Customs, Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad.

The bench was annoyed as it noticed that despite passing of ONO which allowed release of the truck on payment of redemption fine. The petitioner Sohbat Ali represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate maintained he has paid all the money  due but still the vehicle was not being released. The Assistant Collector concerned was asked to “must attend” the next date of hearing fixed for April 18.
