Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate appearing for the petitioner company pointed out that on one hand Customs department sought clarification from the Ministry of Commerce while on another hand they said it was banned under Import Policy Order. She contended that petitioner is a construction company and therefore import was legal.

The bench after hearing the counsel for petitioner ordered the Deputy Collector concerned to appear before it on Jan 24.
