KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) will hear scores of petitions and special customs reference applications (SCRAs) on May 15.
The SHC appellate bench adjourned hearings (till 15th of next month) of the cases pertain to the legal challenge to powers by Director, Deputy Director Valuation who imposed custom duty/taxes etc on higher side on the basis of guidelines.
The petitioners said that respondents have no power or jurisdiction to levy more custom duty by enhancing the values while valuation rulings remain in field.
