SHC will announce verdicts of seven cases related to customs, income tax today

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday (today)  will announce the judgments of seven cases related to customs, income tax and sales tax and will take up more than 10 cases related to customs and income tax.

According to the roster, a two-member bench, comprising Justice Iqbal Kalhoro and Justice Khadim Hussain M Sheikh, will announce the judgments which were were heard and reserved by Justice Munib Akhter and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan. These petitions were filed by the Commissioner of Income Tax vs M/s Smith Kline Beecham Holding Corp. USA, Commissioner of Income Tax vs M/s Abbott Laboratories, Commissioner of Income Tax vs M/s Abbott Laboratories USA, M/s Muhammad Ashfaq Muhammad Afzal vs Commissioner of Income Tax, Atlas Cables (Private) Limited vs Customs Collector.

The SHC will hear customs and income tax related cases including those which were filed by M/s Tristar Transport (Private) Limited, M/s Hi-Tech Lubricants Pvt Ltd M/s Security Pvt Ltd, M/s AKK Enterprises, M/ s A.R.G Enterprises. Meanwhile, a single bench, comprising Justice Syed Muhammad Farooq Shah will take up several bail applications.
