SHC’s Customs appellate bench stays auction of three vans

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has stayed auction of three Hiace vans after counsel for petitioners stated that Special Custom Reference Applications (SCRAs) was filed against order of the Special Customs Appellate Tribunal.

The SHC’s Customs appellate bench stayed auction while hearing petitions, filed by Imran, Farhat Bibi and Ashfaq seeking return of the vehicles detained by Hyderabad Collectorate as being smuggled ones.

Miss Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate, counsel for petitioners submitted that the vehicles have been duly registered after Motor Vehicle Registration Department scrutinized the purchase and other documents.

The bench after hearing the counsel for petitioner stayed the auction of the vehicles in dispute till decision in the SCRAs.
