LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif on Friday excused himself from appearing before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) due to backache.
The anti-graft body had summoned Sharif at its Lahore office in cases pertaining to money laundering, assets beyond income and Lahore Waste Management Company corruption. According to sources, Shehbaz’s doctors have advised him to take bed rest due to worsening back pain.
An investigative team was supposed to record statements of Shehbaz Sharif in all three cases. Sources said that the politician has been re-summoned today because he failed to satisfy NAB in the previous call-up of July 05.
