Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships MS Tiger, Janic Star and Golar Maria carrying containers, Coal and LNG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International  Bulk Terminal and Pakistan Gasport Consortium Terminal respectively.

Meanwhile four more ships, MSC Maeva, Coral Gem, Andrey Pervozvanny and Althakhira carrying Containers, Coal Palm oil and LNG  also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total seven ships were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Palm oil and LNG respectively.

Out of them, a container vessel happy Helena sailed out to sea oil Monday morning and three ships Crimson Kingdom, MS Tiger and Tiger Tenacity are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Cargo handling remained during last 24 hours at 134,701 tonnes. comprising 96,815 tonnes imports cargo and 37,886 tonnes exports cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,771 containers (TEUs), (777 TEUs imports and 1994 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port.

Four ships, MSC Maeva, Chemroad Wing, Al- Thakhira berths and Al- Soor-II carrying Containers, Chemical LNG and Diesel oil are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL, EETL, and FOTCO respectively on Monday.

While two more Containers ships, E.R Tokyo and Maersk Pittsburgin are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
