Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying Containers, and Furnace Oil got berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal Monday.

Five more ships carrying containers, chemical, edible oil and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, said a Port Qasim statement Tuesday.

Berth occupancy was 65% at Port on Tuesday where a total seven ships namely MS Serojaenam, Denca Gougar, Sea Merchant,Pan Rapido, Okardc, Ex Quisite and Bunga Angsana are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, urea, furnace oil, LNG and edible oil during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 60857 tonnes comprising 43266 tonnes imports and 17591 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1169 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
