Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Five ships arrived at the Port to load/off load containers at QICT, rice at MW-IV, chemical at EVTL on December 21, 2013, Port sources said on Sunday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 64% at the Port on Saturday where a total eight ships namely M.V Kps-I Alican Bey – Powership, M.V Vogeeva, M.V Alam Manis, M.V Alliance Norfolk, M.V Msc Sarah, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.V Inlaco Brave, M.V Theo Fylaktos, M.V As Valdivia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 55930 tonnes comprising 35442 tonnes import, 20488 tonnes export and (2532) Tues was handled at the Port during last 24 hours. M.V Theo Fylaktos, M.V Alliance Norfolk sailed on Saturday afternoon. M.T Magic Victoria at FOTCO arrived on December 22, 2013 as per arrival schedule.
