KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile five more ships carrying containers, cement, g.cargo and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the port on Tuesday where total eight ships namely MSC Damla, Bomar Spring, Ikan Sembak, KSL Chao Yang, Kensirius, Avra and Navig-8 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, g.cargo, coal, canola seed and edible oil respectively during last 24 house.
A cargo volume of 58254 tonnes comprising 26764 tonnes imports 32490 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1610 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
