KARACHI: Five ships CMA CGM Otello, Marsk Atlanta, Truk Gas and Okyroe carrying containers,LPG and farnace were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively.
In the meantime two more ships M.T Tom Son Gas,and M.T Maran Gas Troy LGP,and LNG also got anchored at outer anchorage of Port Qasim. Berth occupancy was managed at 60% at the Port on Tuesday where a total of nine berths were engaged by ships CMA CGM Otello, Marsk Atlanta, Al-Manama, ER Vancouver, M.V Fast, M.V Tai Progress, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Turk Gas and M.T Okyroe to load/offload containers, coal, soya been seeds,chemicals, palm oil, LPG and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 92,126 tonnes, comprising 75,976 tonnes import cargo and 16,150 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,843 containers (TEUs) (1,993 imports TEUs & 850 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.
DEPARTURES:
Chemicals carrier Atlantic Glory sailed out sea on Wednesday morning while another containers ship Marsk Atlanta is expected to sail on same day (today) afternoon.
ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:
Two ships Northern Jamboree and Maran Gaztroy carrying containers, and LNG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Elengy Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 13th while another ship Mehuin is due arrive on Thursday, 14th.
