Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Seven ships C.V HS Wagner, M.V Tian Fu, M.V KSL Chaoyang, M.T Bunga Angsana, M.T Liberty-N, M.T Mio Osprev and M.T Karachi carrying containers, project cargo, palm oil, LPG, phosphoric acid and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, SSGC Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Sunday.

Meanwhile, eight more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, chemicals, palm oil, diesel oil and LNG laso arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 53% on Sunday where a total of eight berths were engaged by ships namely C.V HS Wagner, M.V Tian Fu, M.V KSL Chaoyang, M.V Tahiti One, M.t Bunga Angsana, M.T Liberty-N, M.T Mio Osprey and M.T Karachi to load/offload containers, general catgo, soya bean seeds, palm oil, LPG, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo during last 24 hours stood at 69,061 tonnes, comprising 66,116 tonnes import cargo and 2,945 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 509 containers (TEUs) (354 imports TUEs & 155 TUEs exports) was handled at the port.

DEPARTURES:

Container vessel HS Wagner sailed out to sea on Monday morning.

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

Four ships C.V Jazan, C.V MSC Paris, C.V MSC Lucy and M.T Umm Bab carrying containers and LNG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal Elengy Engro Terminal respectively on Monday, while two container ships Maersk harford and CMA CGM Urugyay are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
