Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, chemical, crude oil and edible oil berthed at Qasim international containers terminal, Engro vopak terminal, FOTCO terminal and liquid cargo terminal respectively.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and iron ore also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the port on Wednesday where six ships namely Rotter Dam, HS Paris, LMZ Ariel, Alpine Light, GSW Fabulous andArgent Eye Brighty are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Crude Oil, Cement, Chemical and Edible Oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 95506 tonnes comprising 35953 tonnes imports and 59553 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2332 containers (TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
