Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the port where two ships carrying containers, berthed at Qasim international containers terminal respectively.

Meanwhile, five more ships carrying containers, crude oil, gen.cargo, furance oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 45 percent at the port on Thursday where five ships namely Jasco Jin, Quetta, Al Salam II, MSC Aleassia and Motion Scan are currently occupying berths to load/offload Iron Ore, Furnace Oil, Diesel Oil, Containers and Gen.Cargo respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 78277 tonnes comprising 44696 tonnes imports and 33581 tonnes exports were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
