Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, chemical and LPG Mix berthed at Qasim International containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 75% at the port on Thursday where eight ships namely MSK Atlanta, CGM Mussent, Atlantic Glory, Concordia, Turk Gaz, Black Eagle, Exquisit and MT Lahore are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical, canola see, LPG Mix wheat, LNG and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.     A cargo volume of 96241 tonnes comprising 75157 tonnes imports and 21084 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2068 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
