KARACHI: M.T NCC Shams carrying 28,000 tonnes palm oil was allotted berth at Liquid Cargo Terminal on Sunday.
Meanwhile gas carrier Ummbad carrying 61,000 tonnes LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of six ships were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Canola Seeds, LNG and Palm oil respectively. Out of them, three ships LNG Golar Snow, CMA CGM Medea and Cape Male sailed out to sea on Monday morning and another ship Zealand Amsterdam is expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.
A cargo volume of 87,770 tonnes, comprising 46,730 tonnes imports cargo and 41,040 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,277 Containers (TEUs), (117 TEUs imports and 2,160 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port.
Four ships MSC Tomoko, GH Zephr, LNG Ummbad and La Venture carrying Containers, LNG and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, EETL and MW-4 respectively on Monday.
While container ship Maersk Hartford is due to arrive at PQ on Tuesday, and MOL Gateway is due to arrive on Wednesday.
