Sialkot ASO confiscates 100 crates of smuggled Rani juice

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized 100 crates of Rani juice worth Rs 120,000 on Grand Trunk (GT) Road during an action.

Reportedly, ASO incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary along with Inspector Sheikh Ikram and other staff was checking vehicles to curb smuggling on GT Road near Kamoke Toll Plaza.

Meanwhile, the ASO staff intercepted a Mazda Van and started searching, which led to the recovery of 100 crates of Rani juice. The vehicle was going to Lahore from Peshawar.

The driver was asked to show documents regarding the legal import and lawful possession of the items but he could not do the same; therefore, the officials confiscated the juice under customs laws.
