The customs officials intercepted a truck and recovered new tyres of different brands including Bridgestone, Yokohama and Dunlop in an operation, which had been concealed under the old tyres deceitfully.

The owners claimed that the tyres were bought from Quetta so customs duty was not applied on them.  But the ASO seized the goods with clear and concrete evidence that the branded tyres were non-customs paid.

The ASO has lodged a first information report against the owners and further investigation is underway.
