Sialkot Custom to hold workshop on WeBOC today

SIALKOT: Incharge of Web Based One Customs (WeBOC) system at Sialkot Customs Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary has said that an awareness programme regarding WeBOC will be arranged for exporters and importers on November 16, 2016 (today).

Talking to Customs Today he said that the customs has invited the representatives of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and other associations related to exports in the meeting, which is going to be held at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT). He said that Sialkot Customs Collector Ahmed Reza Khan will preside over the meeting.

SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta, SDPT Chairman Khawar Anwar Khawaja, Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) chairman and heads of trade organisation will be special invitees in the meeting, he said.

The customs officers and WeBoc Systems operators will give awareness to the exporters and importers, who are facing hardship while using it. The participants will also be informed about benefits of the WeBOC system in trade-related activities.

Fahad Bashir said that the customs arranged such sessions following the directions of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to make the latest technologies familiar with the traders. Literature i.e. guidance book and other printed material will also be distributed among the participants.
