Sialkot Customs Collector Ahamd Reza determined to curb smuggling

SIALKOT: Model Customs Collectorate Collector Ahmad Reza has said that anti-smuggling campaign will continue following the orders of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan.

Talking to Customs Today, Collector Reza appreciated the efforts made by Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir. He added that ASO teams had tightened noose around the smugglers in the region.

The collector said that the ASO busted various smuggling attempts during the last days. It impounded non-duty paid three vehicles, confiscated Indian cloth and other illegal imported items worth of millions of rupees.

The teams of ASO and Customs Intelligence were working together to curb the smuggling, which is causing loss to national kitty.

The collector said that staff of Sialkot Customs was fighting tooth and nail to bring the smugglers behind the bars and also save the national economy.
