SIALKOT: The Model Customs Collectorate collected Rs17.82 million in head of customs duty during first seven months (July 2016 to January 25, 2017) of financial year (FY) 2016-17.
Reportedly, the MCC has already been surpassed its assigned revenue target for the current financial year which is Rs14.96 million.
Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro told Customs Today that the Collectorate is showing outstanding performance and it is due to the tireless and efficient performance of the officials that the Collectorate has already surpassed its assigned revenue target. He denied the rumors about advance receiving of the customs duty adding that Sialkot station has its own reputation among all the Collectorate in the country and it is due to quality work and keen interest of not only officials but also of the rest of the staff.
He added that the Collectorate will present award and gift to the staff that have showed extra ordinary performance.
