Sialkot Customs collects Rs 34m during October, November FY2016-17

SIALKOT: The Model Customs of Collectorate has collected Rs 34.05 million during October and November under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty and withholding tax.

Customs official told Customs Today that the authorities are determined to surpass the assigned target by the end of the current fiscal year 2016-17. The department has tightening noose around the tax evaders to recover the outstanding dues.

AS per the details the department collected Rs34.05 million in the wake of customs duty in October and November 2016 as compared to the collection the department collected Rs27.08 million in same period of fiscal year 2015. Sialkot Customs aims to excel by performing brilliantly through achieving the set goals of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and even a step ahead.

All officers and officials of the department are striving to achieve target before the June 30, 2017 because the target achieving will be good omen for the department.  The target will provide best reward and incentives for officers and officials.

Sources told that the Sialkot Customs has already surpassed the target during fiscal year 2015 and all officials hoped that they will must surpass target during running fiscal year. Sources told that the Customs Collector Ahmed Reza Khan is also taking keen interest to achieve target.
