SIALKOT: The Model Customs Collectorate’s employees of BS-16 have urged the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to promote them to next scale BS-17.
The employees told Customs Today that Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced in fiscal budget 2014 that employees of BS-16 would be promoted to BS-17. The employees said, “We are still waiting for promotions since the announcement.”
They added that they were working sincerely to curb the smuggling in the region and in reward government should awarded promotions to customs officers to encourage them. They have also urged the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to announce promotion of BS-16 without any delay.
