Sialkot Customs foils bid to smuggle foreign branded cigarettes worth Rs20m on G.T. Road

SIALKOT: Collectorate of Customs anti-smuggling squad seized a bulk quantity of the foreign branded smuggled cigarettes during a special checking on main G.T. Road near Wazirabad here.

Assistant Collector Customs Sialkot Ali Mohtashim Minhas told media on 1.10.2018 that some accused were smuggling the foreign branded cigarettes in a truck from Lahore to Rawalpindi, when anti-smuggling squad seized as many as 95000 packets of foreign branded (Benson & Hedges and Dunhill) smuggled cigarettes from a truck bearing registration no: LES- 9933. He said that the worth of the seized cigarettes was Rs20 million.
