Sialkot Customs generates Rs7.712b income from July 2016 to Jan 2017

SIALKOT: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Sialkot, has generated Rs7.712billion income from July 2016 to January 2017 of the Fiscal Year 2016-17.

The collectorate has collected customs duty of Rs2.7billion against the allocated target of Rs4.953billion during said period of economic year 2016-17. The MCC, Sialkot, has achieved 49 percent of the target of said period. The sale tax collected was Rs4.385billion against the earmarked target of Rs3.057billion. The MCC, Sialkot, has achieved almost 132 percent target in this regard.

The collectorate, Sialkot, has generated income tax of Rs78.244million during 2016-17. The target of the income tax during above period was almost Rs74.06million. The customs has attained the target of 99 percent from the set target of the MCC, Sialkot.

The Federal Excise duty of Rs22.269million was collected against the assigned target of Rs72.930million. Almost 24 percent of the assigned target has been accomplished during the third said period of Fiscal Year 2016-17. The MCC, Sialkot, has generated income of Rs2.847million from the additional sales tax and other items of Rs3410.050million from the import of raw products during 2016-117.

An official of the MCC, Sialkot, said the target will must be achieved in five months. He said the MCC, Sialkot, will not impair the tradition of surpassing the allocated targets.
