Sialkot Customs providing professional warehousing services to importers & exporters: Collector Ambreen Ahmad Tarar

MULTAN: Collectorate of Cutoms Sialkot is providing high level professional warehousing services and care to importers and exporters. Through our integrated inventory management system, Sialkot Customs offer special warehousing facilities for containerized, refrigerated and hazardous materials.

Customs is offering best clearance facilities of goods at their doorstep to expedite local manufacturing.

She was talking to Customs Today on other day in her office.

She informed that Sialkot Customs assured Sialkot business community about clearance of import and export shipment from Sambrial Dry Port. Clearance of import and export bears fewer costs from Karachi and it gains more benefits in clearance from Karachi instead of Sialkot. Sambrial Dry Port is not charging any additional taxes to importers for clearance of their shipments because duty and taxes collected from Sialkot and Karachi are uniform.

Sambrial Dry Port also offers similar clearance facilities of Karachi on the clearance of shipment and if business community have any issue regarding clearance, then they must inform about it for its way out. Several issues will be resolved regarding the import and export shipments after the installation of tracking system on transshipment vehicles and we have tax revision facility available in the WEBOC system in case of any mistake.

Sialkot Customs Offers on Spot clearance facility to Industrialist and regular importers for their swift clearance of shipment. Speedy customs clearance of shipments at the Sambrial Dry port and airport to facilitate business local community is benchmark of Customs. Sialkot Dry Port was established through efforts of private sector in 1984 by 52 reputed exporters/businessmen of Sialkot. Each of them contributed a non-returnable amount of Rs.10,000/- at the time of its establishment. However, they have earned the perpetual, enviable and unique honour of being the pioneers for establishing the first ever Dry Port in Asia the private sector. The main aim of this Dry Port was to provide the facility of Customs Clearance to the exporters and importers of this region at their door step.

The is making every effort to resolve issues of exporters during clearance of shipments from Sambrial Dry Port . Collector Ambreen Ahmad Tarar informed Customs today that business community can pay online taxes from their home in the account of Collector for the clearance of consignment without any hurdle.

Ambreen believed that the Sialkot Customs is providing ideal atmosphere to business Community in Punjab due to extraordinary facilities.
