Sialkot Customs takes all possible steps to boost trade: Ahmed Reza

SIALKOT: Collector Ahmed Reza Khan has said that, Pakistan Customs is playing a pivotal role in bringing betterment in the national economy, ensuring economical stability besides providing all the trade and customs-related facilities to the business community, he addressed that during addressing program of International Customs Day at Sialkot Customs.

Additional Collector Faiz Ali, Deputy Collectors Waheed Anwar Abro and Muhammad Hanif, Assistant Collectors Ali Mohatashim Minhas and Asfand Yaar Khan, Superintendents Sardar Manzoor, Syed Jarar, Jaan Muhammad, Muhammad Afzal Raza, Muhammad Naeem and Sohail Butt, Principal Appraiser Abdul Hameed, Inspectors Arshad Maqbool, Asad Ullah, Amir Shafique and Sheikh Ikram and others officials were present on the occasion.

Ahmed Reza said that the Pakistan Customs has been upgraded on modern lines, besides, enhancing its performance regarding the solution to all the perturbing problems of the business community. He said that the traders, industrialists, importers and exporters will be taken into confidence to meet the global trade challenges and to get complete benefits of WTO and GPS Plus status regime.

He said that all the problems of the business community were being resolved amicably on top priority, in this regard. He said that the Sialkot Customs is making good name in the country as well as world whereas the export from Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited is much better while the export from Sialkot increased 3 percent from July 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 while it will also increase.

He said that the Sialkot Customs also trying to increase import process and the staff is also improving the clearance process of import and export whereas the latest technology WeBoc and scanning of shipments without breaking of sealing is much better and it is providing awareness and satisfaction to exporters and importers. The triangle Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat is a noble omen for Sialkot Customs while the exporters and importers of this triangle using the dry port and airport to boost trade.
