SIALKOT: Customs Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro visited General Post Office (GPO) along with Superintendent Muhammad Jan the other day and witnessed staff performing their duties.
Sources told Customs Today that during his visit, the deputy collector checked several parcels which were being sent abroad through Pakistan Post.
The deputy collector instructed all the staff concerned to check all parcels carefully and to check shipment of prohibited items.
The deputy collector also directed the staff to check documents of all foreign parcels carefully and should not spare anyone in this regard.
He said that no negligence will be tolerated in checking of documents and any employee found involved in illegal practice will have to face stern action according to the rules.
