Sialkot Excise issues final recovery notices to 40,000 defaulters

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has sent final recovery notices to 40,000 small and big defaulters, giving them last warning to ensure the early payments of their prolonged delayed arrears at the earliest, otherwise  their properties would sealed.

According to the Director Excise and Taxation Gujranwala Division Rao Shakeelur Rehman, the Excise and Taxation Department has jazzed up the pace of the recovery besides formulating as many as 71 special recovery teams to ensure the early recovery of Rs 919 million arrears from 40,000 defaulters.

He added that the said defaulters were reluctant to pay their outstanding arrears due to which the Excise Department has now announced to seal their properties despite issuing them the final recovery notices, in this regard.

He said that after sealing the properties of these defaulters, their properties would be locked up and later would also be auctioned to recovery the dues.
