Sialkot Excise recovers Rs3.3 from property tax defaulters

SIALKOT: The special recovery teams of Excise and Taxation department has launched a “pre-Eid” vigorous crackdown against the defaulters and have sealed as many as 461 commercial buildings sealed in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts. The owners of these sealed commercial buildings were the defaulters of Rs3.3 million in shape of property taxes as well.

According to the senior Excise & Taxation officials, the teams have sealed 63 commercials buidlings in Sialkot district, 45 in Narowal district, 40 in Gujrat district, 131 in Mandi Bahaud Din district, 25 in Hafizabad district and 157 in Gujranwala district during this pre-Eid vigorous crackdown.
