SIALKOT: State Bank of Pakistan Director Fazal Mehmood has said that Sialkot is a hub of exports which is earning $2 billion per annum and it is good achievement of the city exporters.
Talking to Customs Today at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fazal Mehmood said that business community of Sialkot constructed Sialkot Dry Port Trust, Sialkot International Airport, Export Processing Zone, roads etc. on self help basis.
He said name of Sialkot is known all over the world and people like all commodities which are exported from Sialkot. Additional Director Reforms and Automation Abdul Hayee Sheikh said the exporters of Sialkot are the asset of country and these exporters are backbone of the national economy.
He said the exporters of Sialkot are playing vital role to strengthen economy and these exporters are really hard worker whereas the exporters of SMEs are also working to boost export.He said the staff of Customs House Sialkot is performing duty honestly under the leadership of Collector Customs Ahmad Reza Khan. He said the Customs department is also cooperating with exporters so that the export increase day by day. He said that rebate matters will be solved soon whereas up to Rs 5 million rebate refund process is continues and cheques are issuing to exporters.
Assistant Collector Customs Fahad Bashir Choudhary said that the exporters of Sialkot are purely exporters. He said that the Customs department never delay any documentation of exporters rather department clear all documentation of exporters on top priority basis.
