SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested owners of currency exchange and illegal gateway exchange in Sialkot and Gujrat the other day.
Reportedly, Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Region Khalid Anees Ch conducted a raid along with his team on a currency exchange in Sialkot on intimation of an informer and arrested its owner, who was identified as Muhammad Umair. The FIA team recovered many receipts worth millions of rupees from him.
Meanwhile, Assistant Director FIA Cyber Crime Lahore, Jameel Ahmed Khan conducted a raid at Shaheen Chowk Gujrat and unearthed six illegal gateway exchanges and arrested three suspects namely Adil, Faisal Shahzad and Muhammad Ashraf. The FIA team claimed to have recovered many illegal mobile SIMs, laptops and latest instruments from their possession.
The FIA has seized the recovered items and registered cases against the accused. Further investigations are underway in this regard.
