The FIA had fined them Rs 249 million, and seven of the accused had deposited their collective fine of Rs 9 million.

However, 30 big industrialists – stated to be politically influential – are reluctant to pay their fine of Rs 240 million.

When contacted, the senior FIA officials concerned said that several recovery notices had been issued to the pilferers for payment of dues, but they had not yet paid their fine.

They said that the FIA would soon move the local courts for ensuring early recovery of the said amount from them.
