Sialkot-made goods received positive response in IDEAS: SCCI

SIALKOT: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) exhibited the Sialkot-made sports goods, surgical instruments, gloves, leather goods, sports wears and products received a massive positive response by the national and foreign visitors during the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) recently held at Karachi.

It was the first time when the SCCI has participated in this international exhibition. SCCI’s Research & Development Officer (RDO) Salman Mir told that the national and foreign exhibitors and visitors showed very keen interest in Sialkot-made export products displayed there at a stall in IDEAS exhibition and the SCCI’s exhibition stall won the first prize with accolades.

Salman Mir revealed that International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) exhibition had been instrumental in not only showcasing the best of Pakistan in the defence sector but has also contributed significantly towards promotion of our mutually beneficial relations with the international community in this important field.

He said that IDEAS also presented an important platform to the exhibitors to showcase their products before the international community on one hand and to share relevant knowledge and expertise in finding affordable solutions and employing innovative means to meet the defence related challenges, on the other. It also offered the defence manufacturers an opportunity to explore new areas for undertaking joint ventures and further augmenting trade ties with their counterparts.

Salman Mir narrated that the IDEAS offered a comprehensive Program to effectively coordinate meetings and networking sessions between foreign delegations, government Officials, senior armed forces leaders and exhibitors, thereby ensuring effective connection between all participants of the exhibition.

IDEAS 2016 was an essential occasion for shaping target audience attitude, networking opportunities, creating positive publicity and highlighting visibility in the defence industry, he added.

Meanwhile, SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta and SVP Adnan Arshad Sethi have also hailed the performance of RDO Salman Mir for clinching the top position for SCCI in this international exhibition with accolades as well.
