LAHORE: Punjab government is taking revolutionary measures to boost investments and create an investment friendly environment in the province.
China and Pakistan are long-term partners and share a mutual desire to widen their relationship. Director General of Sichuan’s Geological and Natural Resources Bureau, Wang Jian expressed these views while visiting Punjab Board of Investment and Trade.
CEO PBIT Jahanzeb Burana greeted the high level Chinese delegation and discussed the areas of cooperation. Sichuan province is demonstrating a great deal of interest in deepening its ties with Punjab as Lahore and Chengdu already have sister-city relationship. Director General Sichuan stated that Chengdu’s Chamber of Commerce is working to start direct flights between Lahore and Chengdu and is eager to establish a Hi-Tech Industrial Park worth 100 billion RMB stating the fact that in years ahead CPEC and OBOR initiatives will open up huge opportunities for both countries in number of areas. Moreover, the establishment aimed to promote partnerships as well as economic collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani communities.
A detailed discussion over the partnership between the two countries including existing as well as new potential projects was held between the delegation and the PBIT team.
