Sindh CM directs BoR for early computerization of land record

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the Sindh Board of Revenue (BoR) to ensure early computerization of land record in Sindh.

Chief Secretary Muhammad Siddiqui Memon has said that the chief minister has directed the BoR to complete the computerization of land record in Sindh.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Sindh government in the year-2014 was issued orders in connection with computerization of land record throughout the province with a view to curb the land grabbing and check the veracity of the lands existed in the province.

The Land Administration and Revenue Management Information System (LARMIS) is looking after the matter with the co-ordination of another wing i.e. Reforms Wing and Special Cell, Board of Revenue.

In this regard, the provincial government was also being established four (04) IT schemes relating to computerization of land records in Sindh, budgetary allocation, utilization and major targets for each are given in Annual Development Program (ADP) of Board of Revenue (BoR).

However, the process of computerization of land record by the authorities concerned of BoR has not been accomplished yet despite passing two years of time.
