Sindh Excise arrests two drugs peddlers, recovers 2.5kg hashish, 80g ice

KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has arrested two drugs smugglers after recovering 2.5-kilogramme of hashish and 80-gram of ice (a refined form of heroin).

The department, on the directives of Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla against drug peddlers, also destroyed a drug den during the raid.

According to details, a team of E&T led by IO Syed Zafar Ali raided the production den of a drug peddler Bilal in Kosar Niazi Colony North Nazimabad and recovered 2.5-kilogramme hashish. The raiding team arrested Bilal and destroyed his den.

The team also recovered the heroin from Muhammad Agha during a search. The detainee admitted to having contacts with international drug smuggling networks.

The cases were registered against the accused and they are being investigated.
